Managed Detection

Managed detection: the alert is seen, judged and acted on. We will not pretend to be a 200-person security centre.

Managed Detection

A dashboard nobody looks at is not detection. Detection is a person, on the clock you have paid for, who can tell a noisy alert from the one that matters and who knows how your estate is actually built.

We use the tools you already have, including Microsoft Defender where that is the stack, and we write down what we watch and what we do not. Overnight coverage beyond the plan is a partner, named as a partner.

The point is a shorter path from 'something looks wrong' to 'it is contained', without a scare story in the middle.

What that includes

  • A written list of what is watched and what is out of scope
  • Alerts triaged by someone who knows the estate
  • Action on the clock in your plan
  • The join to identity, devices and backup
  • A partner named honestly where you need cover we do not staff

Questions

Is this a 24-hour security operations centre?

No. Alerts are watched and acted on inside the plan you are on, by someone who knows the estate. Overnight cover beyond that is a named partner.

What tools do you use?

The ones you already have, including Microsoft Defender where that is the stack. We write down what is watched and what is out of scope.

What do we get when something is wrong?

A judgement, not a dashboard. The noisy alert is separated from the one that matters, and the action is taken.
