Education & universities

Systems for the way a faculty already works: who teaches what, who was in the room, and what the module score actually is.

Education & universities

Universities rarely fail for lack of software. They fail because the software was built for a different institution and then renamed. Staff learn a workaround. The workaround becomes the process. The next academic year starts with last year's argument.

We build the pieces that actually get used. Timetables and room clashes. Attendance. Course and module tracking. Lecturer allocations. The record a faculty office can trust when someone asks a straight question. Staff email and the workspace around it, where that is part of the same job.

It is custom, because a faculty already has a way of doing things. The system should follow that, not the other way around. If a product on the shelf genuinely fits, we will say so. If the official system is fine except for one task everyone hates, we would rather build the small tool beside it than sell you another login.

Term week is a bad time to have two suppliers pointing at each other. The same partner can look after the academic system and the IT it sits on. One invoice, and someone who already knows how the place runs.

What that includes

  • Timetables, attendance and course tracking shaped to the faculty
  • Module scores and the admin around marking
  • Lecturer and room allocations, including the clashes
  • Staff workspace and email, when that is part of the brief
  • Support that understands the academic calendar, not only the server
