Telephony and VoIP

Telephony and VoIP, including Teams voice, so the call arrives at a person.

Telephony and VoIP

The phone is still how a guest, a student office or a client reaches you. A system that drops the call to a queue nobody watches is not a saving.

We move voice onto a platform you can manage, including Microsoft Teams where you already live there, and we write down what happens outside hours. Hospitality and professional services are the usual reasons this cannot be casual.

Numbers move with a plan and a way back. We do not cut the old lines on a Friday and hope.

What that includes

  • Numbers moved with a written plan and a way back
  • Teams voice where Microsoft 365 is already the desk
  • Hunt groups that match who is actually working
  • A rule for evenings, weekends and the missed call
  • The join to the line, so voice is not blamed for a dead circuit

Questions

Can the phones move to Teams?

Yes, where Microsoft 365 is already the desk. If it is not, we will not force it.

Will we lose our numbers?

No. Numbers move with a written plan and a way back. We do not cut the old lines on a Friday and hope.

What happens to a missed call out of hours?

That rule is written before the cutover. A queue nobody watches is not a saving.
